July - Bear World and The Tetons

In July we had a lot of fun!  CJ and Jen McMillan came to visit over the 4th of July.  While they were staying with us we took everyone to Bear World over by Rexburg.  It was pretty cool to drive through and see all the bears and other animals so close.  It vaguely took us back to our days in Breckenridge, Colorado when the bears used to get into our garbage every night!

The kids all thought it was pretty neat to feed the fish.  The water boiled with fish if you threw in the dog food they had in the nearby vending machines.

 Here's our family!

They had a petting zoo for the kids and Gabby was very brave to pet anything that would hold still long enough for her to get her hands on.

 4th of July!!
Gabby and Corban showing their patriotism!

Victor, Idaho has a great parade for the 4th of July!  They throw candy and it's not too long.  Perfect!  We loved having the McMillan's there enjoying it with us.

Obviously someone stole the camera to prove that I was indeed there.

And the "real" Mater was there too!  What a lucky day!

That night we let Gabby try a sparkler for the first time.  It made her a bit nervous.

After CJ and Jen headed back to Utah we decided to check out the hiking around us in the Teton Mountains.  We lived in such a beautiful place!  We found an easy hike nearby and headed out.

The flowers were beautiful!  And everything was so green!  Gabby wanted to pick everything she saw.

Probably one of my favorite pictures of Gabby EVER!  This just totally sums up her personality.

As we were heading back down the trail Gabby just sat down in the middle of the trail on a little log and decided she was done hiking.  She was tired.

Corban was just totally content on his dad's back.

At the end of the month we had some guests come and stay with us for a week.  Lacey was visiting from Illinois and came with Conner and Kaylea to visit.  We had fun with them, but are kind of boring people with little kid cousins instead of kids their ages.  We decided one afternoon to take them out for a hike.  They had a good time climbing everywhere they could along the trail.

 These are great kids!
